Sahra who has just immigrated to Canada from Iran is trying to fit into a new culture. She is experiencing a series of challenges varying from grocery shopping to finding a job. These barriers have left her feeling lost and empty, and have made her questioning her identity and why she has immigrated in the first place. Her only friend in Canada is Paris who she knows from her school days back home. Paris comes from a wealthy family and has been living in Canada for the last 15 years. As Sahra's challenges grow, Paris starts giving her advice that does not necessarily help or work for her. As Sahra is going through hard times, her teacher Dona, who she meets at English school, opens new windows to her life and helps her through her new journey.
