A raw, personal study of a struggling, southern gothic, punk rock band, where the lead singer refuses to compromise his vision and underground appeal, uniquely told via "art house" meets "schlock horror" and a relentless soundtrack.

The band The Unsatisfied are profiled in "Ambition Withdraw" is an award winning epic documentary, which follows 15 years of the band's career. The Unsatisfied (best described as a talented and intense alternative indie party-rock/glam-gothic punk recording act, from Chattanooga, Tenn, U.S.A.) is the super-sonic creation of the charismatic lead singer/composer (and actor): Eric Scealf, whose tenacious ambitions are the basis for the rockumentary. Scealf's goal is for his band to make it huge internationally, but, as 15 + years wear on, time, age and family commitment wear on the not-so-young band members(who are constantly getting ever older than their market audience), but who's hard-edged musical bent are really more artistic and spiritual than commercial. The Unsatisfied's struggle for recognition, makes for a fascinating story.
