About the festival

The VOB Film Festival has shown independent films from around the world for the past nine years. Our annual festival is a week of outstanding independent film from every corner of the world! Our House of Horror event is our classic fall event - a full day of independent horror film! We invite you to submit to our festival. Films are shown in beautiful Putnam County, NY - about 1 hour north of New York City. Our House of Horror Event is short horror films only - 30 minutes or less.

Independent Film Nights will have an Audience Award provided after the films are shown.

Terms and rules

Digital Films only. Films must be available for download within one week of acceptance. The VOB Film Festival may use the film for promotion or for additional film nights for a period of two years once accepted. Films may not be withdrawn once accepted and received. Fees are non-refundable. Films must have been made after January 1st, 2018. Accepted films allow us the right to use marketing materials and film mentions for two years after the date of the film screening. Films must be sent to us in mp4 format with 1080p and 30 fps. We reserve the right to disqualify or not show your film if it is not submitted to us on a timely basis or it is not in the correct format.
