About the festival

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we are postponing the Victory International Film Festival until Spring of 2021. New dates will be April 29, 30 and May 1, 2021.

Our mission is to provide a fun and engaging experience that celebrates film and the community of Evansville. Our opening gala will be held at the historic Victory Theatre, a 1900 seat facility built in 1921 in the heart of the city, on Thursday evening. On Friday and Saturday attendees will view films from around the world while experiencing our revitalized downtown district. Venues include the Old National Public Theatre, Innovation Pointe, and the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana. We intend to showcase films that might not otherwise have an opportunity to screen in the Evansville, Indiana market from around the world. We will educate and entertain filmmakers and students by presenting workshops, screenings, and other opportunities to meet and network with others in the industry and to bring an audience to those films. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the festival will go to restoring the original sign that used to hang on the Victory at the corner of NW 6th Street & Main. We are proud that our festival will help to add a piece of history back to this historic theater!

Grand Prize is $2,000.00 plus Trophy
Audience Award is $1,000.00 plus Trophy
Animation Prize is $500.00 plus Trophy

Grand Prize will be selected by a panel of Judges.

The Audience Award will be given to the film that receives the most number of votes during the festival.

Best Animated Film will be selected by a panel of judges.

Additional awards of merit will also be given.
