Presented by Lift-Off Global Network, the Web Series & New Media Film Festival is dedicated to screening content that has been exclusively created for distribution online. We welcome submissions from anywhere in the world and are open to all filmmakers who create episodic content.
The aim of the showcase is to discover strong web series with the potential for online distribution. Lift-Off wants to launch your career.
The event will consist primarily of a screening at our headquarters in the world-famous Pinewood Studios- home of blockbuster franchises such as James Bond and Star Wars. The rest of the day will feature exclusive workshops with on-site companies including Sony, Kodak, and Creative Media Skills; each offering invaluable insights into the film industry.
You will be joined by other emerging filmmakers with similar outstanding web-based projects. As well as giving you the support you need to get your work distributed, it is also crucial that you meet with other filmmakers in the industry, build relationships for potential collaborations, and receive constructive feedback on your work. At this festival, you will meet with producers and storytellers from all sections of the industry, all keen to see your project and support your future ambitions.
The Lift-Off Global Network exists with the aim of launching filmmakers careers.
Technology has advanced so dramatically in recent years, that we are now living in a digital age. The digital age has brought with it new and exciting ways of expressing and sharing information. New Media is the term given to new technologies that use mediums such as the internet to share content online. Web series make up a huge part of this online space and are used in the making and distribution of film and television.
Each selected project will receive:
- PR & Marketing support.
- An invite to join the Lift-Off Network, which includes free submissions to all Lift-Off Showcases and Film Festivals
- Invaluable feedback from industry professionals
- Advice and support to get wider distribution for your web series
Additionally, the winner will receive an array of unique prizes:
- Multiple screenings across our international Lift-Off Film Festival network including cities such as Tokyo and Los Angeles
- An invite to the annual Season Awards- Lift-Off's black tie awards ceremony
