About the festival

With attitudes and conversations changing around the world, The London Cannabis Film Festival (The LCFF), provides an international platform for filmmakers and creatives to discuss this most ancient of plants, its uses and our future with it.

Showcasing documentaries to inspire, travelogues that stir up the wanderlust, as well as the hottest international releases – The LCFF is a celebration of the plant, its myriad of uses and the people and communities it inspires and nurtures.

#TheLCFF is an essential cultural happening for anyone with an interest in cannabis. Set against a backdrop of art, music, workshops as well as discussions with world leaders in the areas of medicine, business and advocacy.

Alongside a line up of premieres, award-winning features and cult classics we’ll bring you a curated line up of events.

The London Cannabis Film Festival submission requirements

We welcome submissions that explore all aspects of cannabis and hemp and whilst cannabis doesn’t need to be the main focus of your film it should be represented.

Submissions should be made through FilmFreeway. DVD’s will be considered but please contact us via email first for the address. Please note, DVDs and other submitted materials will not be returned so please don’t send film prints, master tapes or other originals.

Short films should be less than 30 mins.

Any film over 30 mins will be entered into the feature films category.

All film entries selected for the Festival grant The London Cannabis Film Festival the rights to use footage, stills and/or titles and information from the film for promotional purposes.
All films submitted must be free from any legal disputes and the filmmaker must have cleared all rights for music and exhibition. By entering you also agree TheLCFF use to programme your film at other LCFF events.

All entries must be in English or contain English subtitles. Non-English entries without subtitles, or supplementary printed translations, will not be considered.

Only completed entries with paid submission fees will be processed and considered for screening.
