About the festival

UPDATE: The Archer Film Festival has been postponed until late May or early June. We will be hosting an exciting virtual festival, so stay tuned to our social media accounts as more details will be revealed in the coming weeks!

The Archer Film Festival is a high school student film festival dedicated to empowering young female filmmakers. Our goal is not to exclude men, but rather to include women. As a result, the festival is open to all high school student filmmakers.

Some of our past keynote speakers have been Vice President of Film Production at Marvel Victoria Alonso in 2019, actress Laura Dern in 2018, producer Kathleen Kennedy in 2017, and producer and director JJ Abrams in 2016.

Top awards will be given to female filmmakers who have demonstrated exceptional skill in directing, cinematography, screenwriting, and editing.
