BASES:
1. Los cortometrajes deben de ser exclusivamente del género de terror o afines.
2. Los cortometrajes no podrán tener una duración mayor a 15 minutos incluyendo créditos.
3. No hay límite de cortometrajes que cada participante pueda inscribir, pero se deberá llevar un procedimiento de envío individual por cada trabajo.
4. Únicamente aceptamos cortometrajes realizados a partir del 2015.
5. Receptamos inscripciones únicamente por medio de la plataforma FilmFreeway. Cualquier información extra la puede pedir a: shortfilmarchives@gmail.com
5.1. En el caso de ser seleccionados, deberán enviar la siguiente información por correo:
- ficha técnica (word, txt, pdf), 3 stills del cortometraje (JPG), el poster (JPG), un link de descarga (incluída la contraseña). Poniendo como asunto: "SELECCIÓN CORTO TERROR - Nombre del corto-"
5.2. El formato del archivo debe cumplir las siguientes características: Quicktime H.264 (.mov), especificando la relación de aspecto original (widescreen o standard), con una resolución mínima de HD (1280x720p). Esta copia deberá enviarse por un servicio gratuito como wetransfer, google drive o un link privado de vimeo (habilitando la descarga). Terror en el MAAC no correrá con ningún cargo por descarga del material.
O si se encuentran en la ciudad de Guayaquil lo pueden entregar en DVD.
5.3. Al formar parte de la selección oficial, el material gráfico enviado junto con la inscripción podrán ser utilizados para promoción del festival en nuestras redes sociales y en futuras proyecciones de Terror en el MAAC.
6. Se aceptan inscripciones en cualquier idioma con subtítulos al español.
6.1 En caso de no contar con subtítulos al español, ofrecemos el servicio de traducción (inglés y francés) y subtitulado por un costo extra. (usd30). Para ello deben adjuntar la transcripción de los diálogos/narración junto con el resto del material.
7. El jurado calificador estará conformado por profesionales del medio cinematográfico y se darán a conocer en la presentación de cortometrajes en MAAC Cine Guayaquil.
8. Se otorgarán menciones especiales a:
Mejor cortometraje.
Mejor dirección
Mejor guion
Mejor fotografía
Mejor actuación
Mejor dirección de arte
Mejor edición de imagen
Mejor edición y mezcla de sonido
Mejor afiche
Mejor teaser/trailer

1. Short films must be exclusively of the horror or related genre.
2. Short films may not be longer than 15 minutes including credits.
3. There is no limit of short films that each participant can register, but an individual
submission procedure must be done for each work.
4. We only accept short films made after 2015.
5. We accept registrations only through the FilmFreeway platform. Any extra
information can be requested from: shortfilmarchives@gmail.com
5.1. In the case of being selected, you must send the following information by mail:
- Film’s infobox (crew, cast, duration, country, etc) in word, txt of pdf format, 3 stills of the
short film (JPG), the poster (JPG), a download link (including the password). The subject shall
be: “SELECTION SHORT TERROR – Name of the short-“
5.2. The format of the file must obey the following characteristics: Quicktime H.264 (.mov),
specifying the original aspect ratio (widescreen or standard), with a minimum
resolution of HD (1280x720p). This copy must be sent by a free service such as
wetransfer, google drive or a private vimeo link (enabling the download). Terror at the
MAAC will not incur any charge for downloading the material.
Or if being in the Guayaquil city, the deliver can be made on DVD.
5.3. By being part of the official selection, the graphic material sent along with the
registration can be used to promote the festival on our social networks and in future
Terror projections at the MAAC.
6. Enrollments are accepted in any language with Spanish subtitles.
6.1 In case of not having subtitles in Spanish, we offer the translation service (English and
French) and subtitles for an extra cost. (USD30) For it to be done the transcription of the
dialogues / narration must be attached along with the rest of the material.
7. The qualifying jury will be made up of professionals from the film industry and will be
announced at the presentation of short films at MAAC Cine Guayaquil.
8. Special mentions will be granted to:
Best short film.
Best directing
Best screenplay
Best cinematography
Best acting
Best Production design
Best film editing
Better sound editing and mixing
Better poster
Best teaser / trailer
