Early Deadline – April 5, 2019 - $10 student/$20 general
Regular Deadline – May 17, 2019 - $15 student/$25 general
Late Deadline – May 30, 2019 - $20 student/$30 general
/eligibility requirements
All films in all submitting categories (features, shorts, student, docs and web) must have been completed on or after January 1, 2017.
All films in a language other than English must be submitted in English for consideration.
Running times for all categories:
Features (60 minutes or longer)
Shorts (45 minutes or less)
Student (20 minutes or less)
Web (7 minutes or less).*
Docs (45 minutes or less for shorts and 60 minutes or longer for feature docs).
*In addition to general web content, ASMR videos are encouraged! Please specify in your application if yours is an ASMR entry.

Completed online application.
A screener submitted digitally (link or attachment).
Submission fee payment (done online)
Please do not submit photos, stills or press kits. We will request those materials if your film is accepted.
You may submit more than one film, but each film must be accompanied with its own completed form and its own payment. For web videos and student films, each person can submit up to three (3) works per payment. For special consideration regarding payment, please email us at sightandsoundoxnard@gmail.com. The festival staff wants to work with all filmmakers to make it as convenient as possible to submit their work.
/selection requirements
All filmmakers will be notified of the final selection by around July 26, 2019. Please be patient with us if we take additional days for final notification.
We will require the following if your film is selected to screen at Sight + Sound 2019.
A digital file of your completed film in the following Quicktime format (Native Resolution, using Pro-Res 422 Codec or Windows-based file option also available) sent for download or sent on a data disk or flash drive. Please note that flash drives will not be returned.
Digital press kit with photo stills of the film.
Headshot of the director(s).
One-to-two sentence synopsis of the film.
Any trailers, poster graphics of the film.
We welcome rough-cuts and works-in-progress for festival consideration in the submission process. Please note in your submission form what is missing such as color correction, final sound mix, etc.
