About the festival

Tribeca Flashpoint College’s Sight & Sound Digital Media Youth Festival is designed for young creative talents to showcase their work in the areas of film, recording arts, animation, visual effects, and digital marketing.

The theme for the 2016 Sight & Sound Festival is “Deadline.”

What comes to mind when you hear the word deadline? The dictionary defines “deadline” as a date or time when something must be finished, or the last day, hour, or minute that something will be accepted. But perhaps for you, the word conjures up a more personal meaning.

“Deadline” is a word rich with storytelling potential, and we want your take to be represented at the 2016 Sight & Sound Digital Youth Festival. Submit your “deadline” themed projects to this year’s festival for your chance to take home one of our many prizes, including cash, scholarships to our 2016 NEXT LEVEL high school summer program, and more!

All festival selectees will receive a certificate of participation and an official festival t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in each category an one overall Best in Fest award will be handed out. Prizes, such as cash, Tribeca Flashpoint scholarships, and more, will vary. More information on prizes will be released closer to the date of the festival.
