The She's Reel Film Festival is a festival highlighting the work of young female artists in the Greater Philadelphia area. It is by young female filmmakers and for young female filmmakers and the goal is to inspire these artists and celebrate them as valued members of the male-dominated film industry.

Our esteemed judges, who are female professionals in the film industry, will be selecting awards for the following categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the narrative category, Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Story, and the grand prize She's Reel Award.

NOTE: Non-narrative films are still eligible for awards.

Terms and rules

Eligibility: She’s Reel is open to female-identifying residents of the Greater Philadelphia area who are currently enrolled in high school or its equivalent for the 2019-2020 school year. Eligible films must be completed after 2016. Entrants must provide their school name and the names and gender identifications for each primary filmmaker. In order to be considered, at least one primary filmmaker must be female-identifying.

Length of Film: All films must be 11 minutes or less including credits.
