The Lift-Off Global Network want to meet, inspire and support the next pioneers of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
This Genre Lab exists to provide huge opportunities featuring discussions, feedback on your work, workshops, and future support for your project. The lab accepts Shorts, Features, Animations, Scripts, Works in Development, Web Series, VR, Music Videos, and Treatments.
If you are selected, you will be invited to our HQ at Pinewood Studios, home of Star Wars, James Bond and countless other blockbuster films, where you will meet with the Lift-Off team and other selections for a unique event aimed at creatives, to provide an invaluable platform designed to support the next generation of genre-based content creators. The Lift-Off Global Network exists with the aim of supporting you, the grassroots filmmaker, through a variety of methods via these in-depth, highly valuable and insightful events. All selected projects will also be given their 'officially selected' laurels.
The day's timetable will comprise of discussing Science Fiction and Fantasy, its devices, successes, and pitfalls. The group will also explore what it takes to be a successful content creator within these highly popular genres - this includes the rarely touched on aspects of distribution, online strategies, self-publishing, self-marketing and social media positioning.
After the private screenings, the event includes a feedback session with attendees and the Lift-Off team. This is a perfect opportunity to ask any questions and receive private feedback on your work whilst simultaneously acting as a Career Road-Mapping Session.
Aside from all of the above, you will be able to forge connections with your attending peers interested and working in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. It will be a day packed with insight, all developed so you may take your work, and ultimately your career, further!
