About the festival

Rural FilmFest, member of Green Film Network (GFN), is an international itinerant film festival, which offers a current overview of international documentary film, fiction and animation in a short, medium and long format related to the rural world, ecology, sustainability and natural and cultural resources. Rural FilmFest is not a common film festival, it is a unique and unrepeatable event. It is a summer camp, with excursions, multi-adventure, international coexistence, dance, party and friends for all life. It is the experience of your life and if you attend, you will not want it goes over and you will want to return next year... If you have a fiction film, animation or documentary whether it is a short film or a feature film, do not hesitate to submit.

Rural FilmFest, miembro de Green Film Network (GFN), es un festival internacional de cine itinerante en el que se ofrece una panorámica actual del cine internacional de documental, ficción y animación en formato corto, medio y largo relacionado con el mundo rural, la ecología, la sostenibilidad y los recursos naturales y culturales. Rural FilmFest no es un festival de cine común, es un evento único e irrepetible. Es un campamento de verano, con excursiones, multiaventura, convivencia internacional, baile, fiesta y amigos para toda la vida. Es la experiencia de tú vida y si asistes, no querrás que termine y desearás volver el próximo año... Si tienes una película de ficción, animación o documental sea cortometraje o largometraje no dudes en inscribirte.

Exhibiting filmmakers receive accommodation during all the festival for two persons and they will personally present their work to the audience and enjoy the full festival activities.

Terms and rules

To participate:
You have a film.
No matter where you come from. The Festival is open to filmmakers from all over the world.
You can submit as many films as you wish. It is not a problem if the films have been previously screened, shown on the Internet or in other festivals.
The films may be in Spanish or in any other language with Spanish subtitles. For the SELECTION process are not necessary Spanish subtitles but if your film is selected we will ask you Spanish subtitles for the public screening.
The organization can use pieces from the selected films (10% maximum) to promote them and the festival. Selected films of Rural FilmFest will become part of "Rural FilmFest Tour" besides being able to participate in any of the activities constituting Rural FilmFest.

Competition Categories:
- EcoFilms: Fiction, animation and documentary films, in which the central theme is related to ecology, nature and everything that has to do with the rural world.
​- RuralFicción: free themed films.

Running time:
The short films may not run over 25 minutes.
The medium films from 25 to 45 minutes.
The feature films longer than 45 minutes.

Format:
All of the submitted films can participate, no matter the format. The screening will be from a digital file (participants will be informed about the format needed for the screening with time enough).

The organization reserves the right to accept a film, if it is not sent within the registration period together with all the necessary documents.
Once the films have been received, and until the deadline, the organization will select those taking part in the competition and will inform the selected participants.
Registration implies acceptance of all the regulations. All fees are non-refundable. We are not able to pay a screening fees. Any other issue which is not included here will be sorted by the RFF 2021 organisation.

Para participar:
Si tienes una película.
Seas de donde seas. El Festival está abierto a realizadores de todo el mundo.
Puedes presentar todas la películas que quieras.
Las películas pueden haber sido anteriormente proyectadas, colgadas en internet o en otras muestras / festivales.
Para el proceso de selección no son necesarios los subtítulos en español si tu película está en otro idioma diferente, pero si la película resulta seleccionada te pediremos subtítulos en español para la proyección. Sí tú película es en lengua española te solicitaremos subtítulos en inglés.
La organización podrá utilizar fragmentos de las obras seleccionadas (máximo 10%) para promoción de las mismas y del festival.
Los cortos seleccionados en Rural FilmFest pasarán a formar parte de “Rural FilmFest Tour” además de poder participar en cualquiera de las actividades que conforman Rural FilmFest.

Categorías a concurso:
- EcoFilms: Cortos de ficción, animación y documental, en los que el tema central está relacionado con la naturaleza, la ecología y todo lo que tenga que ver con el mundo rural.
- RuralFicción: Cortos de ficción de temática de libre.

Duración:
Cortometrajes máximo 25 minutos.
Mediometrajes entre 25 y 45 minutos.
Largometrajes a partir de 45 minutos.

Formato:
Podrán participar cortometrajes rodados en cualquier formato. Las proyecciones se harán en archivo digital. (Se comunicará a los seleccionados el tipo de archivo necesario para las proyecciones con suficiente antelación).

La organización se reserva el derecho de no aceptar un cortometraje a concurso, si no se envía dentro de la fecha límite junto con toda la documentación solicitada.
Una vez recibidos los cortos hasta la fecha de finalización del plazo, la organización seleccionará los que entran a concurso e informará de esta selección a los participantes.
La inscripción implica la aceptación de estas bases. Las cuotas de inscripción no son reembolsables. No nos es posible pagar una tasa por proyección. Cualquier cuestión aquí no prevista, será resuelta por la organización del RFF 2021.
