CONDITION OF ENTRY
1 - Participation
1.1 - Cinematographic works produced by any person or public or private entity, of any nationality.
1.2 - Any type of themes and arguments will be accepted in the submitted works. However, the main objective of REIFF 2020 is to discover cultural and artistic values that enrich the human being through the cinema.
1.3. – It will be excluded works that degrade the person or do not understand art as a reflective and enriching medium for the human.
1.4. - Above all, we wil value the originality, the productive message, the good narration and the visual beauty.
1.5. - Both short films and documentaries will be accepted.
1.6. - They are excluded the works that depict or promote violence, terrorism, racism, pornography or incite illegal and/or immoral behavior. Content which violates intellectual property rights and/or industrial, or violate any other rights of third parties, not be admitted.
2 - Technical Conditions
2.1 - The works may have a mínimum duration of 3 minutes and a maximum of 15.
2.2 - The works must be sent in digital format (if possible in HD quality, H.264 codec type) by WeTransfer, Dropbox or similar to the e-mail address raicesfilmfestival@gmail.com or through the filmfreeway.com platform.
2.3. - In the case of films whose original language is not Spanish, they must attach a subtitle file (.srt or .txt format) in Spanish or English. In the case of participating through FilmFreeway, the work must have the option of subtitles.
2.4. - It should be communicate via e-mail the date of mailing of the work also attach the following material:
- Entry form properly completed and signed as in the attached model.
- Three captures of the film in digital format (300 dpi)
- Photo of the director.
- If is possible, movie poster.
- If is possible, some photos of the shooting.
- Optional: press kit.
2.5 - The sent copy will remain in the archive of the festival. The festival can use the films submitted for promotion to REIFF 2020 or later editions.
2.6 - The sent copy may be used for educational or cultural activities, non-commercial purposes, always quoting the authors.
2.7 - The Selection Committee, named by the Organization, shall proceed to the selection of the works which shall be projected in the Festival.
2.8 - Will be communicated by e-mail to authors whose works will form part of the official selection.
2.9 – The works selected for the Festival can not participate a second time.
3 – Reception of the Works
3.1. - The beginning of the reception of the works is Wednesday, November 13th, 2019. The closing of reception is Monday, January 6th, 2020. The works selected for the official program of the festival will be announced on Thursday, February 6th, 2020.
3.2. - Both video material (and corresponding subtitles) sent by WeTransfer, Dropbox, etc. and the registration form and other required materials should be sent to raicesfilmfestival@gmail.com . The works sent through FilmFreeway must contain all this information on the project page of said platform.
4 – Jury and Prizes
The Jury, named by the Organization, will be made up of professionals from the audiovisual, literature and painting world, and their decision will be final and announced at the awards ceremony that will close the competition.

5 - Acceptance
Participation in the Festival implies full acceptance of these conditions.
BASES
1 - Participación
1.1 - Podrán participar en el Festival las obras cinematográficas producidas por cualquier persona o entidad pública o privada, de cualquier nacionalidad.
1.2 - Se aceptarán cualquier tipo de temas y argumentos en las obras cinematográficas. Sin embargo, el objetivo principal REIFF 2020 es descubrir valores culturales y artísticos que enriquezcan al ser humano por medio del cine.
1.3. - Quedarán excluidas las obras que degraden a la persona o no entiendan el arte como medio reflexivo y enriquecedor del ser humano.
1.4. - Se valorará sobre todo la originalidad, el mensaje productivo, la buena narración y el atractivo visual.
1.5.- Se admitirán tanto cortometrajes (de ficción o experimentales), como así también documentales.
1.6. - Quedarán excluidas las obras que contengan o promuevan la violencia, el terrorismo, el racismo, la pornografía o que inciten a conductas ilegales y/o inmorales. Asimismo, tampoco se admitirán contenidos que infrinjan derechos de propiedad intelectual y/o industrial, o que infrinjan cualquier otro tipo de derecho de terceros.
2 - Condiciones técnicas
2.1 - Las obras podrán tener una duración mínima de 3 minutos y máxima de 15.
2.2 - Las obras deberán ser enviadas a la dirección raicesfilmfestival@gmail.com en formato digital (a ser posible en calidad HD, tipo de códec H.264) mediante WeTransfer, Dropbox o un medio similar o mediante la plataforma filmfreeway.com.
2.3. - En el caso de las películas cuyo idioma original no sea el castellano, deberán adjuntar junto al archivo de video, un archivo de subtítulos (en formato .srt o .txt) en español o inglés. En el caso de participar mediante FilmFreeway, la obra deberá tener la opción de subtítulos.
2.4. - Se deberá comunicar vía e-mail la fecha de envío de los trabajos además de adjuntar el siguiente material:
- En un archivo (.doc o .pdf) todos los datos técnicos de la obra (título, director, productor, miembros del equipo técnico y reparto)
- Tres capturas de la película en formato digital (300 ppp).
- Foto del director/a.
- A ser posible, póster de la película.
- A ser posible, algunas fotos del rodaje.
- Opcional: dossier de prensa.
2.5 - La copia enviada quedará en el archivo del festival. El festival podrá utilizar las películas enviadas para la promoción de la edición REIFF 2020 o posteriores ediciones.
2.6 - La copia enviada podrá ser utilizada en actividades didácticas o culturales sin ánimo de lucro, ni fines comerciales, citando siempre al autor/es.
2.7 - El comité de Selección elegirá las obras que se proyectarán en el Festival.
2.8 - Se comunicará por e-mail a los autores, cuyas obras vayan a formar parte de la selección oficial.
2.9 - Las obras seleccionadas para esta edición del Festival no podrán participar en otra edición.
3 - Recepción de las Obras
3.1. - El comienzo de recepción de las obras es el miércoles 11 de noviembre de 2019. El cierre de recepción es el lunes 6 de enero de 2020. Las obras seleccionadas para el programa oficial del festival, se darán a conocer el jueves 6 de febrero.
3.2. - Tanto el material de video (y los correspondientes subtítulos) enviados por Wetransfer, Dropbox, etc. y la ficha de inscripción y demás materiales exigidos, deberán ser enviados a la dirección raicesfilmfestival@gmail.com. Las obras enviadas mediante FilmFreeway deberán contener en la página del proyecto de dicha plataforma, todos estos datos.
4 - Jurado y premios
El Jurado, nombrado por la Organización, estará compuesto por profesionales del mundo audiovisual, de la literatura y la pintura, y su fallo, que será inapelable, se dará a conocer en el acto de entrega de premios que cerrará el Certamen.

- Mejor guión
- Mejor fotografía
- Mejor diseño de producción
- Mejor banda sonora original
- Mejor sonido
- Mejores efectos visuales
- Mejores efectos de maquillaje
5 - Aceptación
La participación en el Festival supone la plena aceptación de estas Bases.
