About the festival

ReFrame’s REELKids Peterborough International Film Festival is a four-day celebration of film and media presented each January. The festival features a slate of important, award-winning films from Canada and around the world on topics including the environment, indigenous peoples, human rights and world issues. The festival is offered to elementary school children in grades 1-8. A comprehensive Teacher’s Guide is available for educators.

ReFrame's REELkids is a non-competitive festival. The mission of the festival is to celebrate film and art; raise awareness about local and international human rights and social justice issues as well as highlighting the work of quality filmmakers and promote the screening and exposure of great children's film.

NO replicable unsafe behaviour

By submitting your film, you are confirming that you are authorized to submit the film for screening and accept full responsibility to provide the correct format of your film to our festival.

By submitting this film, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

Once we accept your film through FilmFreeway, you will receive an automated notification. Following that, on or around the official notification date, you will receive a formal letter of acceptance from ReFrame’s REELkids with next steps indicated.

Screening times and dates are solely at the discretion of ReFrame’s REELkids.
