GENERAL RULES:
*Entries must reasonably represent the music video genre—short films and experimental films need not apply.
*Music Videos must have been released on or after January 1st, 2018.
*A qualifying key-creative (eg. Musical Artist, Director, Producer, Editor, Cinematographer, Animator) must reside in Queensland, Australia.
*Music videos should be between 2 and 5 minutes in length. However, videos up to 10 minutes long will still be considered.
*After submitting a work it becomes eligible to win prizes for a number of award categories relating to aspects of video production and creativity. REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL reserves the right to change submission categories and prizes at their discretion.
*Filmmakers and musicians entering videos into the festival must possess the legal rights to submit AND screen their work. REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL is not responsible for clearing publishing, performance or other rights for the music videos it reviews, screens, showcases on its site or otherwise utilises for festival publicity.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
*By registering for this festival, I hereby grant REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL the standard non-exclusive rights that would be granted to a music video broadcaster, as well as the right to make videos available on REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL website, and to create and distribute dub masters available to broadcasters for promotional purposes.
*REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL does not guarantee in any way that the submitted video will be selected for the festival or used for promotional purposes. This decision is at the discretion of REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL.
*By submitting a music video entrants agree that their image, name and likeness may be used by the organisers for advertising and publicity purposes in connection with REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL without additional remuneration. This applies to the image, name and likeness of the submission also.
*Organisers reserve the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and check their identity in accordance with our privacy policy.
*Judging will be performed by any combination of the following: industry professionals, record label executives, commissioners, individuals, sponsors, filmmakers, musicians and even artists. REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL reserves the right to change the format of judging in any way they wish, at any time over due course, whilst striving to recognise the most talented filmmakers and high calibre work.
*REEL MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any point.
