Awarded one of "The 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World, 2019" by MovieMaker Magazine

The Oak Cliff Film Festival was established in 2012 as a regional film festival in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas. The festival has received national acclaim from prominent sources including The New York Times, Filmmaker Magazine, and Moviemaker Magazine, as a festival that aims to showcase brave and independent filmmaking of all stripes in an atmosphere that encourages and fosters filmmaking in Dallas and beyond.

Over the last 8 years, the festival has become a significant cultural event, celebrating the eclectic flair and tastes of its birthplace with an equally diverse lineup of films and events, curated annually by film lovers for film lovers. It features the best of Oak Cliff’s theater and art venues, restaurants, bars, and small businesses in the heart of Jefferson Boulevard and the Bishop Arts District.

Terms and rules

All films screened at the 2020 Oak Cliff Film Festival must be Dallas/Fort Worth area premieres. Prior exposure at other DFW film festivals or events will exclude the film from consideration.

Oak Cliff Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. Oak Cliff Film Festival is hereby granted the right to show shorts films up to two screenings after the event dates as part of short film year-round series.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for public screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Oak Cliff Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
