All Art submissions that are NOT digital or film files will be considered to be part of the International Art Exhibit during the festival. If accepted, you will be exhibited during the festival, receive festival badge and marketing to our 80K newsletter list, 10.5M via social media and you will walk the Red Carpet Press Junket at the festival. If a digital or film file, please submit in appropriate categories.

Digital Comics are accepted in digital format only (no physical books please). Winner of this category will be judged by a Marvel Graphics Novel published writer, viewed by an award winning production company for consideration to be made into an animation or live action feature.

Mixed reality (MR) is the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations, where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time. Mixed reality does not exclusively take place in either the physical or virtual world, but is a hybrid of reality and virtual reality, encompassing both augmented reality and augmented virtuality via immersive technology. Videos created by your cell phone camera and/or tablet. All lengths and genres accepted.

All Music Only submissions will be considered to perform one song live to open the festival and/or be the music on the Sizzle reel showcased during the festival and online.

In the very first year of New Media Film Festival a music video won our Shot On Red category. We'd like to Music Videos shot on any format to have an opportunity to win, on its own, among their peers., so, this category was created.

Since New Media is an ever evolving arena, we have this category for those of you that have created something that you feel does not fit into our other categories listed. Includes, Gaming, Tech Vlog's, VE, Vertical, Live, Location Based, 5d, 7d, SI, Interactive, online only, New Media, etc. If your creative endeavors want an opportunity to be considered for distribution and our $45k in combined prizes and this is the category you feel best fits what you created, please submit here. We accept all TRT (total running times) from 30 seconds to 2 hours in this category.

All Photograph submissions will be considered to be part of the International Art Exhibit during the festival. If you have other NON digital art, please submit in Art category. If accepted, you will be exhibited during the festival, receive festival badge and marketing to our 80K newsletter list, 10.5M via social media and you will walk the Red Carpet Press Junket at the festival.

Our successful Producer Panel & Pitching is now available online. We had to pivot due to the pandemic and are grateful for this new way to help content creators across the globe. Once you submit, you can email us a video of you and/or your team pitching your project. Please note, we accept up to 2 minutes and you must own the rights to what you pitch. Our in person pitches at the festival have led to meetings with Execs from BBC, Warner, Sneak Preview, Qualcomm, Samuel Goldwyn Films, Lighthouse, and more. All Scripts. Short Script, Feature Script, Stage Play, Television Script- short and long form, animation, comedy, sitcom, drama, books, web series, reality, live, TV anything scripted, this is for you. There is not a limit on page numbers. Top 3 winners in this category win Industry memberships valued at $1000.00 each & are still considered for Grand Prize Award.

Shorts are narrative or documentary works created on any format (digitally, HD, 16mm, Super8, etc.) with a duration under 30 minutes. Can include webisodes, commercials, narrative or documentary under 30 minutes.

Sniplers - snippets of a trailer - a 30 second pitch. This category screens in the Producers Panel & Pitching session.

This is for any type of film & media content that has a socially responsible message and would like to be considered for competition in this category. Including but not limited to PSA's, short industrials, journalism.

You may submit any genre, any length for this category. The subject matter must at some point touch on or involve one of the STEAM elements.

Content that was made while you were a student. Top 3 winners in this category receive $100.00 each & are still considered for Grand Prize Award.

Minimum length should be at least 30 seconds and no more than three minutes in length.You may submit your trailer here and your long format in one of our other categories if you wish. Our judge is a Journalist that reviews trailers for media outlets.

We accept short and long form content for Television.
