New Dreams International Film Festival

2020 PLANS:

Due to COVID-19, we are currently rescheduling our events, and looking into new partners and sponsors. We were also planning to re-partner up with our favorite venues from 2019, ECHO PARK FILM CENTER, HYAENA GALLERY and DARK DELICACIES for more physical screening events, US Premieres, seminars and private parties.

Realistically, we are likely moving the entire festival to Falls Church, Virginia and Washington DC for 2021 with many of the screenings happening online only.

IN THE PAST:

We were (and are) extremely excited to unveil and share these fantastic films (and photos) at our unconventional new film festival and screening series! 2019 launched, and was a fun growth experience for us!

2021 is hopefully NEXT! TOGETHER! These were the first works that we showed:

MISSION STATEMENT:

The New Dreams International Film Festival is a lifelong dream of renowned independent filmmaker and artist, Ramzi Abed, and is the first International Film Festival based in Los Angeles that is focused on the art of visual storytelling while also specifically showcasing the innovative work of young, up and coming and underground directors, cinematographers and photographers from around the world, who will be exhibiting unique movies and fresh styles. The festival has a competition that includes a photography exhibition and short and feature-length screenings. These special screenings will be held in and around Los Angeles and West Hollywood. We are excited to premiere numerous films that no one has ever seen before. We are looking forward to finding those films and meeting you, our fellow filmmakers! The New Dreams International Film Festival has officially launched.

Our Gold Sponsor Partner is Flixhouse, which is a service that is also available to any filmmakers who are interested in it.

In addition, our prizes will include Awards issued for each "Dream" category, as well as potential distribution deals with our sponsors, including Cinema Epoch, Breaking Glass Pictures, Troma Entertainment, Dark Delicacies, Hyaena Gallery and the Roku channel and streaming subscription service, FlixHouse.

Terms and rules

All films must have been produced or finished after 2016. Special consideration will be made for LA Premieres. All films will be screened and judged. Screenings will be physical and/or virtual. Some screenings are underground and private, whereas the majority are mainstream and public. For more details, please email bloodshot@msn.com but please be patient for a response, as Ramzi Abed (NDIFF Founder and Festival Director) is the only person answering all questions and requests at this time.
