POSTPONED: #MoStopMo Fest - April 4th
#MoStopMo is committed to Stop Motion Film Making and building community. To properly honor both, we have decided to postpone our April 4th Stop Motion Shorts Fest.
We are fully committed to run our festival and honor all of the filmmakers who have submitted to us from around the world, and a new fest date will be announced in the near future, where we will honor all tickets. In the meantime, follow us online for announcements, and check out our new Podcast interviews, featuring animation professionals across the industry.

Have you created a Stop Motion film in the past 2 years (2018 -2020)? Is it a complete, stand alone story (not an exercise or a trailer for a longer short)? Does it range between 3 to 15 minutes? If so, you are eligible to submit to the #MoStopMo Film Festival!
Dedicated building community around the very first form of animation ever put to film, the #MoStopMo Film Festival is focused on welcoming emerging Stop Motion Film Makers to the Stop Motion Community!
All qualifying entries will automatically receive tickets to all events leading up to the Screening Event in Oakland CA, USA:
- "The Art of #MoStop Mo" Gallery Show Opening, showcasing the behind-the-scenes art of #MoStopMo's first Stop Motion film "The Cookie Cutter"
- The #MoStopMo Screening Event
- Speaking Events
- An After-Party celebration
We have limited slots to accommodate our Screening Event, so if your short is not chosen for our run-of-show, we will honor all those who both qualify AND properly submit to our fest, by hosting a link to their film website on www.mostopmo.com for 2020.
The Audience-Selected Short will be awarded a custom found-object sculpture honoring the spirit of the Stop Motion Animator by artist David Rocco Facchini (www.dellaroccostudios.com).
The Selected Short team members will qualify to participate in future #MoStopMo film productions and networking opportunities with industry professionals.
All applicants to the #MoStopMo Film Festival will receive a ticket to the 2020 Screening in Oakland CA.
All successful entrants who correctly submit the #MoStopMo Film Festival will have a link to their film hosted on www.mostopmo.com for the duration of the months of April and May, as well as be publicized on all #MoStopMo Social Media platforms.
All successful entrants are eligible to attend the 2020 gallery show titled "The Art of #MoStopMo", where they will be able to access the behind-the-scenes process of making an animated film through exhibition installations, award-winning guest speakers and hands-on presentations focused on both the craft and business of animation.
