About the festival

Established with the goal of using film to solve social problems through communications, the Molodiya International Film and Social Video Festival accepts films with originality, freshness of ideas, humor and unexpected artistic expression. The festival accepts short and full-length films and television films of all types and genres - fiction, documentary, educational (popular science), animation, as well as television programs of all genres from news stories and reports, to essays and television films. The festival will run for the 9th edition in 2021.

Among the thematic priorities of the festival, films with democratic values, human rights and freedoms, social activity, gender equality, responsible consumption and use of natural resources, ethical treatment of animals amongst others are highly encouraged to submit.

From 2017 the festival holds a special programme called «Human to human».

Main Awards:
Best International Feature Film Award (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental) - 25000 uah
Best International Short Film Award (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental) - 15000 uah
Best Ukrainian Feature Film Award (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental) - 25000 uah
Best Ukrainian Short Film Award (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental) - 15000 uah
Best Television Film - 10000 uah + TV distribution contract
Best Film with a Social Message - 7500 uah
Best Script - 5000 uah and certificate

Others:
Special Jury Award - Silver Medal and Certificate
Audience Award - Silver Medal and Certificate
Human to Human Award (Sponsored by the Film for Change NGO)
