Fiction productions may enter in the following categories:
International feature films (over 30 minutes)
International short films (under 30 minutes)
Aimed at productions not made in Mexico or whose directors do not have Mexican nationality. If the film is in a language other than Spanish it must include Spanish subtitles, otherwise it will not be considered for participation.
National feature films (over 30 minutes)
National short films (less than 30 minutes)
Aimed at productions made in Mexico or from directors with Mexican nationality. If the film is in a language other than Spanish it must include Spanish subtitles, otherwise it will not be considered for participation.
Children films (over 30 minutes)
Children short films (under 30 minutes)
Aimed at productions with an audience aimed for children and/or family friendly. Regardless of the place of the production or the nationality of the director. In case of a film with a language other than Spanish, it must include Spanish subtitles, otherwise it will not be considered for participation.
Guidelines:
1. The exhibition will take place from June 14 to June 20, 2021 in the municipality of Hueyotlipan, Tlaxcala and the 11 communities that conform it.
2. Registration in any of the categories is free of charge.
3. The registration date will be open from August 15th to December 30, 2020. There will be no extension for registration outside of these dates.
4. The works should have been finished after June 2018.
5. Each producer or director may enter a maximum of two works.
6. Works of any of the sub-genres of fiction are welcome. No commercials, video dance, video clips, reports or documentaries will be accepted.
7. All of the registered works will be visualised by the specialised committee of selection and programming of MIC HUEYO. Its decision will be unappealable.
8. The owner of the registered work must have all the rights of use and distribution of the film. In case of legal problems related to the productions, MIC HUEYO will not be held responsible nor accountable and the workpiece will be excluded from the exhibition.
9. The registered and selected works will be part of the exhibition's collection and may be part of screenings in different circuits whose activities are non-profit and completely free of charge, all with a prior authorization of the work owners.
10. The owners of the selected works will be notified of their participation in the exhibition on April 20, 2021 and will have up until April 30 to provide the exhibition with the following materials:
- Official poster in .jpg or .png format, high resolution (300 DPI)
- 6 to 10 stills of the work in .jpg or .png format, high resolution (300 DPI)
- 2 to 5 photos of the director in .jpg or .png format, high resolution (300 DPI)
- Data sheet with the synopsis. Maximum 300 characters.
- Trailer or teaser of the work (optional)
- Filmography of the director
- Contact directory of the director and/or producer and official website or social networks of the work.
- A download link of the film or short film in high resolution 1920x1080px H.264 format. In case of a film with a language other than Spanish, it must include Spanish subtitles in .srt format
11. The exhibition is authorized to use the images, trailer or teaser up to a maximum of 3 minutes for short films and 7 minutes for feature films to be used in advertising, broadcasting and communication materials exclusive to the festival.
12. By registering to the exhibition you agree to have read and therefore, accept all of the above mentioned rules.

Largometraje infantil (mayor a 30 minutos)
Cortometraje infantil (menor a 30 minutos)
Dirigido a producciones cuyo publico sea infantil y/o familiar. Sin importar el lugar de producción o la nacionalidad del realizador. En caso de ser un metraje con idioma distinto al español deberá incluir subtítulos al español, de lo contrario no será tomado en cuenta para participar.
Lineamientos:
1. La muestra se realizará del 14 al 20 de junio del 2021 en el municipio de Hueyotlipan, Tlaxcala y las 11 comunidades que lo conforman.
2. La inscripción a cualquiera de las categorías es gratuita.
3. La fecha de inscripción quedará abierta del 15 de agosto al 30 de diciembre de 2020, no habrá prórroga para inscripciones fuera de estas fechas.
4. Las obras deberán haber sido concluidas después de junio del 2018.
5. Cada productor o realizador podrá inscribir un máximo de 2 obras.
6. Las obras podrán ser de cualquier género temático de ficción, no se aceptarán comerciales, video danza, video clips, reportajes o documentales.
7. Todas las obras inscritas serán visualizadas por el comité especializado de selección y programación de MIC HUEYO, su decisión será inapelable.
8. El titular deberá contar con todos los derechos de uso y explotación de la obra inscrita. En caso de problemas legales referidos a las producciones, MIC HUEYO se deslindará de cualquier responsabilidad y dicha obra será excluida de la muestra.
9. Los trabajos inscritos y seleccionadas formarán parte del acervo de la muestra y podrán formar parte de proyecciones en diversos circuitos cuyas actividades sean sin fines de lucro y completamente gratuitas, todo esto con previa autorización del realizador.
10. Los titulares de las obras seleccionadas serán notificados de su participación en la muestra el día 20 de abril de 2021 y tendrán como plazo hasta el 30 de abril para proporcionar a la muestra los siguientes materiales:
- Cartel Oficial en formatos .jpg o .png en alta resolución (300 DPI)
- De 6 a 10 stills de la obra en formatos .jpg o .png en alta resolución (300 DPI)
- De 2 a 5 fotografías del realizador en formatos .jpg o .png en alta resolución (300 DPI)
- Ficha técnica con sinopsis de máximo 300 caracteres.
- Trailer o teaser de la obra (opcional)
- Filmografía del realizador
- Directorio de contacto del realizador y/o productor y pagina web o redes sociales oficiales de la obra.
- Un enlace de descarga del largometraje o cortometraje en alta resolución 1920x1080px formato H.264, n caso de ser un metraje con idioma distinto al español deberá incluir subtítulos al español en formato .srt
11. Se autoriza a la muestra la utilización de las imágenes, trailer o teaser y hasta un máximo de 3 minutos para cortometrajes y 7 minutos para largometraje para ser usado en materiales de publicidad, difusión y comunicación exclusivos del festival.
12. El inscribirse a la muestra significa la lectura y aceptación de todas las bases antes mencionadas.
