About the festival

The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust Student Film Showcase is partnering with the LA Jewish Film Festival's for a student film showcase, featuring works by middle and high school filmmakers passionate about social justice, genocide awareness, memory and oral history, and acting as an upstander.

The LAMOTH Student Film Showcase will be held on May 5, 2019.

- Please include the following with each submission:

Terms and rules

Submission Requirements:
- Films must be created by students in grades 7th-12th for the 2018-19 school year

- Films must be under 15 minutes in length

- Considered films will explore topics of social activism, genocide awareness (related to the Holocaust or other genocides), memory and oral history, and acting as an upstander

- Accepted category of films: Animation, documentary, and narrative

- Films should be produced in 2017-2019

- Students may submit multiple entries

- Films must be submitted as online screenings (link must be provided)

- Rights and Licensing: By submitting a film to the LAMOTH Student Film Showcase, filmmakers affirm that they have cleared all rights to materials within their films including but not limited to music rights, actors releases, etc.
