¡En busca de Alquimistas Visuales!
Locomoción festival de animación en su 5a edición ESPACIOS DE ALQUIMIA emprende una búsqueda de las piezas más innovadoras en la animación nacional e internacional en los 4 detonantes creativos ( plástica, crónica, tecnolúdica, sustrato) para formar parte de su Eyecandy 2018, la LOCOSCREENINGS.
Locomoción es un festival que promueve la experimentación, creemos que tus animaciones son un reflejo de ti mismo. ¿Por qué animas como animas?
¿Qué te llevó a experimentar en cierto tipo de técnica o con diferentes materiales?
Hemos estado observando y creemos que hay cuatro búsquedas esenciales en la animación o como los llamamos, detonantes creativos:
1) Tecnolúdica: una apuesta por las nuevas tecnologías y las formas de indagar en técnicas como stop motion, cut out, rotoscopía, scratch sobre filme, etc.
2) Crónica: se trata de la narrativa, las formas de contar una historia.
3) Sustrato: materiales tanto en los elementos que utilizas para hacer la animación, como el formato donde haces tú experimentación (en libros, en la pared, en madera o vidrio…)
4) Plástica: un interés por la estética, el ritmo visual de una pieza.
ESTAS SON NUESTRAS CATEGORÍAS:
A) EMERGENTE. Estudiante o autodidacta en busca de un estilo.
B ) PROFESIONAL. Aquel que continúa en la búsqueda y formación de una voz.
Creemos que cada proceso creativo es único, una forma diferente de interpretar el movimiento. Queremos conocer el tuyo.

Searching for Visual Alchemists
Locomoción Animation Festival in its 5th edition ALCHEMY SPACES undertakes a search for the most innovative pieces in national and international animation in its 4 creative triggers (plastic, chronic, technological, substrate) to be part of their Eyecandy 2018, LOCOSCREENINGS.
Locomocion fest is a platform that promotes free experimentation in order to build a personal style. We think that your animations are a reflection of yourself. Ever thought of what did it take you to experiment with certain materials or techniques? Why are you used to animate the way you do so?
After taking a look at the work of some Visual Alchemists, we have noticed four essential searches, or as we like to call them, creative triggers:
1) Technoludics: a commitment to new technologies and ways to investigate techniques such as stop motion, cutting, rotoscopy, scratch on film, etc.
2) Chronicle: it is about the narrative, the ways of telling a story.
3) Substrate: the materials that you use to make the animation, and the format in which you do the experimentation (in books, on the wall, in wood or glass ...)
4) Plastic: an interest in aesthetics, the visual rhythm of a piece.
THESE ARE OUR CATEGORIES:
A) EMERGENT. Means that you are an autodidact or a student with an interest in experimentation.
B) PROFESIONAL. Means that you have been working and producing with a certain style, but still you want to keep experimenting and challenging yourself.
Each process is a unique different way of interpreting movement. We want to know yours.

Esta convocatoria no es un concurso por lo que no existe un jurado calificador ni una selección de ganadores, los cortos seleccionados pasan por un proceso curatorial interno donde seleccionamos aquellas animaciones que reflejen un desarrollo creativo novedoso. Es por esa razón que nos interesa conocer tu proceso creativo.
This call is not a contest so there is no qualifying jury or a selection of winners, the selected shorts go through an internal curatorial process where we select those animations that reflect a novel creative development. It is for this reason that we are interested in knowing your creative process.
