About the festival

A short film festival with an international projection, focus not only in giving the opportunity to the Dominican filmmakers to showcase their films on different platforms, but foreign filmmakers to bring short films to be appreciated by the local audience.

Dragonfly in film symbolizes the uninhibited vision of the mind. It symbolizes that we can exceed the expectations we normally have when short films talking, popularly people see these films as something ephemeral and amateur, being the reality very different because through the short films we can have such complex histories as the greatest of the movies, so dragonfly perfectly represents the vision we have to create something that seems impossible as is the ability of this little bug to see 360 degrees.

This year we want to introduce for the first time the ''Best Entrepreneur Theme Short Film'' focused on films that tell stories about people, or causes that supported true entrepreneurship in any of its forms.

All winners will receive a trophy and parchment (winner certificate).
Dominican Short Films Winners will be distributed in no less than three (3) international festivals.

Honorable Mentions will be issued at the discretion of the jury.
