About the festival

L’Europe autour de l’Europe - Festival of European films in Paris will run from March 11th until March 28th 2021 in Paris and Île-de-France. The festival will screen 100 films (63 features) from a total of 31 countries and 28 MEDIA participating countries. The festival shows feature films, documentaries, shorts, animations, new media and experimental films. Two Juries will award the following prizes: Prix Sauvage for the best recent feature film (French premiere) and Prix Luna for the same selection, awarded by the jury of young cinema professionals and students. Prix Present for the best feature documentary film and the Prix sauvage CORTO for the best short film.The ambition of the Festival is to stimulate the renewal of the European film production and emerging European talents by organizing professional meetings, press and pre-release screenings with producers, distributors and journalists. By offering master-classes and workshops with famous cinema professionals for film students and young audiences, the festival gives film literacy the central place in its strategy. In addition to screenings and Q&A with filmmakers, the Festival presents public masterclasses and panel discussions with prestigious guests from throughout Europe. The place where the current European film meets the European value-keeping cinema.

The Competition presents features and documentaries (60’ and more) (co)produced in Europe, never released in France. The films compete for the following prizes, awarded to the author of the best film:
Prix Sauvage – Loup Dansant: bronze wolf statuette.
Prix Luna: Luna statuette awarded by the jury of cinema students and young professionals.
Present is dedicated to the recent documentary films (60’ and more) (co)produced in Europe during the last two years.

Terms and rules

We accept submissions of:
- Features and documentaries (60’ and more) (co)produced in Europe, never released in France. The films should have been produced in 2016 or later in one or more of the 47 member countries of the Council of Europe.
- Shorts films (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental) should have 59' or less, and have been produced in 2017 or later in one or more of the 47 member countries of the Council of Europe.
