The Kino Short Film Festival celebrates the art of short filmmaking by independent and student filmmakers in the Pacific Northwest each spring in Moscow, Idaho. The festival is supported by the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, the University of Idaho and local sponsors.
We only accept work created by filmmakers from Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Washington.
The Kino Short Film Festival supplies a venue for independent and student filmmakers to share their work with an audience. Films ten minutes or less in any genre are accepted: narrative, documentary, animation, music videos, experimental.
We ONLY accept films made by filmmakers from IDAHO, MONTANA, OREGON and WASHINGTON and that are ten minutes or less in length. PLEASE, NO INTERNATIONAL OR UNQUALIFIED SUBMISSIONS.
The audience votes for their favorite student film and favorite independent film and the winners are given a prize to honor them.
