About the festival

*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*

Kineko International Children’s Film Festival has made an official decision to cancel this year’s festival. It was a very hard and heavy decision for us to make. However, with the concerns about the spreading COVID-19 worldwide, and the potential effect on festival events, we have made this decision together.

We plan on holding the next festival tentatively in November, 2021. KICFF team will keep working on the preparation for the festival during this time period. We will keep in close contact with other children’s film festivals worldwide, and will not stop dedicating our efforts for a better future of children’s films.

If you are making films or made films that you think you would like to submit to our film festival, please save them until our next submission open date, which is estimated to be in April, 2021. We will accept films that were made from January, 2019 or later.

Thank you for your kind understanding. Please stay healthy and safe, we promise we will be back in 2021!

Sincerely,

Kineko International Children’s Film Festival Team
May, 2020.
