About the festival

Kecskemét Animation Film Festival (KAFF) is two festivals in parallel: the festival of Hungarian animation films and the international festival of European animated FEATURE FILMS, TV SPECIALS and TV SERIES.

In addition to films, KAFF hosts a range of concerts, exhibitions and workshops.

Terms and rules

The entered works - features (min. 52 minutes), TV-Special (min.20 minutes) and TV-Series (max. 2 episodes) - shall be made by some kind of animation technique. (In exceptional cases the festival director reserves the right to admit films of shorter duration.)

Works shall be those that have been completed after 1 February, 2015.

The works entered in the Festival must be in European ownership of at least 50%.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

Printed and signed entry forms must be sent together with DVDs to the Festival Office.
For works with narration or dialogue, the script must be enclosed. If any narration or dialogue is spoken in a language other than the official languages of the Festival, an English translation must be attached to the script.

Additional Information

The entrant grants the Organizing Committee the right to use part (max. 3 minutes) of the entry or related materials for publicity purposes on the website and YouTube channel of the festival.

The Organisation Committee will return the storage media (flash drive, hard drive…) to the address indicated on the entry form within two weeks after the Festival. DVDs sent for the pre-selection procedure are not returned, but kept for the festival archive.
