Eligibility: Contest open to High School Film Students, specifically students who are enrolled in the 2014/2015 school year.
Entry Fee: $35.
The winning contestant is required to provide their film on a Blue Ray disc that is compatible with the Highland Park Village Theater in order to screen the film at JWFF.
Film Submission due date: Friday July 31, 2015
Winning student will be notified: Friday August 28, 2015
Winning film due in Blu-ray file format (in order to be viewed at Highland Park Village): Friday September 11, 2015

PUBLICITY RELEASE
In order for your video to be considered, you must carefully read and agree to the terms of the Release and License for Video By and/or Including Minors, which will be sent to you via email after we receive your registration. We encourage you to consult with a lawyer concerning its meaning and effect. All entrants must sign and return, either via mail or email via scanned attachment, the Release and License for Video By and/or Including Minors in the form provided by JWCF or be eliminated from consideration in the JWFF Contest and declared ineligible to win any prize. The Release will include, among other things, a statement that the video was the exclusive property of the entrant(s) at the time they were submitted.
Releases must be obtained from all identifiable persons depicted, seen or heard in the videos, as well as the person(s) who recorded (created) the video. A parent or legal guardian must sign the Release forms for minors (aged 17 or under).
Following moderation, you understand that submitted videos will be publicly visible on social media sites, including but not limited to, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, as well as johnwayne.org.
Participants shall submit no more than one (1) video.
Participants should not use copyrighted music. Participants should use only products/music that is in the public domain. Participants also must have talent releases for all people involved in the film/video.

John Wayne beat lung cancer in 1964. He died 15 years later after a struggle with cancer of the stomach. During this difficult period, he became passionate about helping others fight this terrible disease.
