A- The registration has a cost of 100 Mexican pesos for participants with short films of no more than 30 minutes per movie and 300 Mexican pesos for participants with medium and feature films of 31 to 160 minutes per movie. University short films that are registered by University institutions have no cost. However, the institution has to certify it. The registration fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee to be included in the official selection.
B- There is no registration limit in terms of the number of films that each filmmaker and producer entity can register.
C- The maximum duration for short films is 30 minutes, including credits. The maximum duration for feature films is 160 minutes, including credits.
D- Video clips, commercial works or productions whose purpose is political or religious propaganda will not be accepted.
E- To be admitted the materials must be submitted in Spanish. If it is in English and any other languages, it is MANDATORY to have Spanish subtitles.
F- A digital copy of each work is required, preferably in NTSC and DCP format for projection; and MP4 or MOV for Screener, both downloadable. These copies will not be returned. The digital archives of the films will be accepted only through the festival account: queerffplaya.inscription@gmail.com
G- It is MANDATORY to attach an electronic “press kit” in Word with the following materials:
a. Still photo of the work (color 300 dpi, in jpg or tiff format)
b. Poster in high resolution
c. Synopsis of the work (in English and Spanish) in Word
d. Brief biography of the director (in English and Spanish) in Word
e. Director's photograph (color at 300 dpi, in jpg or tiff format)
f. Data sheet with the list of credits in Word
g. Trailer
H- For its best diffusion in social networks, it is necessary to send:
a. Photos in 400x400 pixels*
b. Names of the director and actors, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter* .
c. Links to their personal profiles on Facebook and Instagram *
d. If the production has a page or profile, please also send the name and link *
I- The deadline for registration and submission of materials is May 1, 2020. Those materials whose postmark has this date will be accepted.
J- The shipping costs of the works that will participate in the festival, from its origin to the domicile of this Organization, will be borne by the participants. Nor will the Festival bear the costs of sending other advertising materials or any other material.
K- Once the material has been sent and accepted for the call, the film CANNOT BE REMOVED
L- The Festival WILL NOT PAY for the projection rights of any production.
M- The selected films will be eligible to be part of the national and international traveling exhibitions of the Festival.
N- AWARDS. The International Queer Film festival 2019 Playa del Carmen will deliver a “XOXIPILLI” trophy to the winners of the Festival categories, which are the following:

O- IT IS OBLIGATORY TO ANNEX REGISTRATION DOCUMENT AND PROJECTION PERMIT, AS WELL AS ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES OF THE CALL SIGNED BY THE DIRECTOR OR PRODUCER OF THE WORK AND PROOF OF THE PAYMENT OF THE REGISTRATION.
P- THE QF FESTIVAL DOES NOT PROVIDE WITH ANY KIND OF VIATICS FOR ASSISTANCE TO THE SAME.
