The NYC | Indie Film Collective 72-Hour Short Film Challenge presented by Festival of Cinema NYC is a month-long film challenge in which teams will have ample time to write and polish a 7-12 minute scripts, cast actors, find locations, and edit before and after your team's chosen 72-hour production weekend dedicated solely to principal photography.
At the kick-off event on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, teams draw a genre from a hat and are given a prop and a line of dialog to include in their films. Thirty plus days later, on July 30, 2019, the film is turned in - and teams celebrate.
One (1) winning team will receive an award statuette at the Festival of Cinema NYC’s award ceremony on August 11, 2019, and the top prize, being presented by Maspeth Federal Savings.
