Eligibility:
Short films eligibility
- Adult Shorts – director aged 19 years or older.
- Student Shorts – director in higher education. Proof of Student status must be supplied upon request.
- Junior Shorts – director aged 18 years or younger.
- Films should have been completed in 2016 or 2017.
- Prizes will only be delivered to filmmakers resident in the United Kingdom. Category winners from overseas will receive an electronic copy of their certificate.
Corporate Films
- Films should have been completed between 2007 and 2017.
- Films should be under 30 minutes in duration.
- All non-English language films must have English subtitles.
- All rights, permissions and clearances must be obtained prior to submission in accordance with UK copyright laws.
- A film should only be submitted in ONE category.
- For the age-specific categories the director should be of the appropriate age at the time the film was completed. Proof of eligibility must be supplied upon request.
- Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted. A separate submission and a separate entry fee must accompany each entry.
Format:
- Films should be submitted by post on DVD/Blu-ray or via FilmFreeway.
- Films should be submitted with contact details (including email) and the running time of the film.
- All postal entries MUST include a completed entry form, available from tinyurl.com/EnterGFordFFF.
- Submitted films will not be returned- we don’t have the budget, sorry.
Fees:
- Entry fees depend on the category.
Short films fees
- Entry is £10 via FilmFreeway
- Entry is FREE for filmmakers aged 18 years or younger via FilmFreeway.
- Entry is FREE to everyone who submits their film by post.
Corporate films fees
- Entry is £50.
- Payment should be made via FilmFreeway entry.

Receipt of submission:
- Email confirmation of receipt of your submission will be sent from GFordFFF@email.com. Please make sure you provide a live email address.
Selection & screening:
- Selection will be conducted by the Guildford Free Film Festival team.
- The festival committee's word is final.
- We aim to inform successful applicants by 19th March 2017.
- Applicants whose films are not selected for screening will not be contacted.
