Terms and rules

New Jersey premieres only. If the film has screened in New Jersey prior to GDIFF your film may removed from the program even if accepted. Special exceptions may apply.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered
If film is accepted, the point of contact as found on the FilmFreeway submission must respond to all requested items by stated deadlines or risk being removed from the festival program.
Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.

48 Hour Scramble - Winter Wonderland

*THIS IS A SEPARATE EVENT FROM THE MAIN FESTIVAL. DO NOT ENTER A COMPLETED FILM HERE* Filmmakers at all levels of experience are invited to compete in the Winter Wonderland 48 Hour Film Scramble. This is a timed 48 hour filmmaking competition to be held in early January. GDIFF is here to challenge you and your teammates to create short films—from concept to completion—in one fast-paced, caffeine-fueled weekend. Films can be any genre—science fiction, horror, romance, comedy, documentary etc. You will be given several elements to incorporate into your film and will be judged on the quality of the film as well as originality using the given elements. Kickoff TBA. Films must not run more than 3 minutes in length, including credits. Your details will be emailed to you on that day. Select films will be screened online and cash prizes will be awarded in 4 categories TBD The winner in each category will receive $100 Your entry fee covers your entire team!
