About the festival

As one of the longest-running Jewish film festivals in the country and Philadelphia’s first film festival, the mission of the Gershman Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival (GPJFF) is to educate and engage diverse Philadelphia communities, Jewish and non-Jewish alike, by presenting world-class film premieres, repertory cinema, and associated programs that are inspired by Jewish history, heritage, and values. Our vision is to create shared experiences and connections through film and cultural programs inspired by Jewish legacy and values.

GPJFF hosts two annual events: Fall Fest (every November) and Lindy CineMondays (every Monday night, typically from late March to early May). The Festival also hosts many sneak previews throughout the year in between events.

Any feature narrative or documentary that enters Fall Fest or Lindy CineMondays is eligible to win the Audience Award. Viewers are given ballots upon entering the theater and vote on their way out.
