Any genre (non-documentary) with a running time of 60 minutes or longer. Must have been produced in the southeastern US or produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeast.

Any non-fiction film with a running time of 40 minutes or longer. Must have been produced in the southeastern US or produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeast.

Short, fictional, live-action narrative films, experimental films, episodic television or web content with a runtime of under 20 minutes. Must have been produced in the southeastern US or produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeast.

Non-fiction films or web content with a runtime of under 20 minutes. Must have been produced in the southeastern US or produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeast.

Animated short films with a runtime of under 20 minutes. All forms of animation accepted. Must have been produced in the southeastern US or produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeast.

Music videos with a runtime of under 20 minutes. Must have been produced in the southeastern US or produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeast.

Short films of any genre produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeastern US who was under 18 when the film was produced and had not yet enrolled in college. (With one exception: dual enrolled high school students may submit in this category.) Submissions in this category must have a runtime of under 5 minutes.

Short films of any genre produced, directed, or written by a filmmaker originating from the southeastern US who was enrolled in a college or university when the film was produced. Submissions in this category must have a runtime of under 20 minutes.
