About the festival

The Gen Zed Film Festival was debuted in April 2019 by four Creative Industry students from Ryerson University who are passionate about film and believe that there should be more opportunities for young talent to gain exposure and share their art in the competitive industry.

Our mission is to connect young and developing filmmakers with those already working in the industry in order to promote collaboration and growth.  As well as bring  artists together from various the film programs across the Greater Toronto Area. Gen Zed aims to create an accessible event which will include an evening of film screenings, networking, food, drink, and awards!

This is a great opportunity for young filmmakers to showcase  their work, network with other creatives, meet industry professionals, and share their love for film with like-minded peers.

Since our first event,  Gen Zed has grown to a bigger team, greater event, wider audience and a beautiful venue! We are looking forwarding to seeing returning filmmakers and guests. As well, we  are excited to meet new creatives and film enthusiasts!
