About the festival

The Flatirons Food Film Festival (Oct. 8-11, www.flatironsfoodfilmfest.org) is an annual multi-day film festival intended to bring together those interested in eating, food culture, and food issues. It screens a mix of US and international feature and documentary films that address a wide range of food-related topics and issues. It also presents film-related culinary and social events like tastings and receptions, engages expert speakers for every film, presents panel discussions, and brings distinguished visiting speakers to enhance the educational and convivial aspects of the films.

"The Flatirons Film Festival is a wonderful film festival in beautiful Boulder. Great food and great Q and A with film lovers." --Anthony Lucero, filmmaker, "East Side Sushi"

"The Flatirons Food Film Festival was a great experience for filmmakers. The audience and all the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and supportive. The weekend was full of delicious and interesting events all taking place in the heart of Boulder and in the shadow of the beautiful Flatiron mountains." --Elizabeth Federici, filmmaker, "James Beard: America's First Foodie"

The prizes for the winning student film are a screening at our festival and $250. The second and third-place films will also screen at our festival. We will announce all winners through our digital media.
