About the festival

UPDATE: we're sorry to announce that, in light with covid 2019, the third edition of FFF has been deleted

*** See at Fiumicino Film Festival 2021 ***

Fiumicino has been a port since its founding in roman times and now the city that hosts Italy’s busiest airport. This is why the FIUMICINO FILM FESTIVAL is dedicated to travel films. Travel is inherently linked to cinema: we can actually say that every film is a journey of the mind and this new festival aims to embrace all types of travel, from the interior to the space and time, but above all will try to bring to the public films that talk about distant lands, adventures, explorations and migrations, pleasure trips and dangerous journeys.

Wherever the desire for knowledge, the restlessness, the search for work, peace or salvation will bring our protagonists, we will follow them in their journey and we will discover stories, landscapes and a mankind different from the usual one.

The Fiumicino Film Festival will move in a very interesting way also within the gastronomic sector. In fact, during the three evenings, delicious aperitifs and delicious dinners prepared by star chefs for the Festival's guests will be offered inside a travelling on the river Tiber.

The FFF will in fact host actors and directors of the selected films and there will be a lively press activity around the selected films. There will also be awards for the best works, divided by category.

A jury of industry proffessionists will assign the following awards:
Best short film
Best Director
Jury Prize
