SCREENPLAYS
Your feedback was a model of constructive criticism. It has encouraged us to keep on working as well as allowed us to learn. We will follow your advice and try to give our script the best possible treatment.
- Eze & Sergi P.
Thank you for the feedback, which was as unexpected as it was welcomed! I thought I was going to be upset when I saw it had been rejected. But, it is just the sort of feedback I have been after since completing the screenplay!
- Debbie D.
Wow, thank you! I'm really impressed that you guys took on performing the script; it's so visual I didn't think it would work like that but you've shown that it can. Hats off to your actors and especially Hugh Ritchie for narrating.
- Humayun
I appreciate all the feedback. Always interesting to get another reader's angle on it. Thanks so much!
- Jeff B.
Thanks very much for the thorough and thoughtful feedback - and for the fantastic opportunity! I am beyond excited that your festival has chosen to perform my entire script
- Matthew O.
Thank you for your detailed feedback of my script. I found your critique to be very helpful and I will revise the script to reflect those recommendations. I hope to complete it in time to resubmit.
- Mike D.
Thank you so much for your input. It was right on. I loved it. It was just what I needed in order to improve the structure of the plot. I will work on it starting with your notes. I can actually visualize the difference already. I look forward to resubmitting and participating in your contest with a future draft. I just can't thank you enough for you encouragement.
- Nicholas Z.
Thank you for your kind words and notes on my pilot. I'm reworking the script to the proper format and making some of the changes you have suggested. I'm also working on making the center of the series clear.

SHORT FILMS
I'm glad they liked the film:)
- Kirill Proskura (A SHADOW OF DARA)
I was very pleased to hear people really understand the twists and turns of film, the conflict of the lead character, and the desire to see what was on ‘the other side’. As a filmmaker, you make lots of little decisions based on your instinct, and it was wonderful to hear people really connecting with the material.
- Jon Silverberg (DISAPPEARED)
I was very surprised! There is no other festival that offers this, it’s great! To see the public reaction and to take part in the festival. There was a little debate about the fact that the film was shot in French while the atmosphere is American, it was interesting. This has pleased all the film crew, Sylvain Ott, composer joins me in thanking you for the price of the best music.
- Jordan Inconstant (YO SOY PEDRO)
I loved it. It was a totally new experience for me. I’ve obviously shown the film to a lot of friends and people I meet, and it is great to see their reaction as they watch the film. But having people who know about film talk about and comment on your work is something very different. The fact that the audience picked up on some of the small details about the characters & story line gives me a renewed devotion to finish up the series.
- Matt Burniston (The Mega Plush)
I was really scared to watch the feedback but found the experience very rewarding and elucidating. It’s rare that an emerging filmmaker gets to hear back from an audience in such a raw way. It was interesting to hear people’s perspectives on the film, which seemed quite varied. I loved the woman who said it made her think about whether it might be better to live 80 minutes rather than 80 years if you were happy. I also laughed when one audience member said they thought the central characters were cousins. Maybe I compromised clarity for the sake of suspense a little too much.
- Brooke Goldfinch (RED ROVER)
I was all gitty! I thought they had some really interesting things to say. I was amazed at how much they were able to pick up on in just one viewing. I can’t say this enough, I really love the concept of getting video feedback from the audience.
- Marc-Andre Morissette (20:15)
