EXPERIMENTAL FILM GUANAJUATO
The heritage city of Guanajuato, for the third time, presents in October the best of International Experimental Cinema and new media: "Experimental Film Guanajuato."
With outdoor performances and a tour of the city's renowned galleries, works of art and films are eaten by the looks of some of the approximately 45,000 tourists that Guanajuato registers for the weekend this month, thanks to the celebration of the "XLVIII International Cervantino Festival."
[New changes and security measures for COVID-19 contingency]
We would like to inform you that this 2020, the festival will be held online from the 4th to the 7th of November.
Due to the current COVID-19 contingency, in which Mexico is one of the most affected countries, we the team of "Experimental Film Guanajuato" have decided that the public screenings that had previously been programmed in Guanajuato, México, will be postponed until next year, 2021, as long as the health conditions are more favorable.
Our categories to participate are:
+ International Short Film
Call for experimental short films, free in its theme and production, without restrictions of the year, with a duration not exceeding 30 min. Exclusive for filmmakers who do not reside in Mexico and / or South America.
+ Mexican and Latin American Short Film:
Call for experimental short films, free in its theme and production, without restrictions of the year, with a duration not exceeding 30 min. Exclusive for filmmakers residing in South America and / or México, with the exception of those residing in Guanajuato.
+ Guanajuato Short Film
Call for experimental short films, free in its theme and production, without restrictions of the year, with a duration not exceeding 30 min. Exclusive for filmmakers who reside within the state of Guanajuato.

La ciudad patrimonio de Guanajuato, por tercera ocasión, presenta en el mes de octubre lo mejor del Cine Experimental internacional y nuevos medios: "Experimental Film Guanajuato."
Con funciones al aire libre y un tour por reconocidas galerías de la ciudad, las obras de arte y las películas son devoradas por las miradas de algunos de los aproximadamente 45,000 turistas que registra Guanajuato por fin de semana en este mes, gracias a la celebración del "XLVIII Festival Internacional Cervantino."

Te informamos que este 2020, el festival se realizará online del 4 al 7 de noviembre.
Debido a la contingencia actual del COVID-19, en el que México es uno de los países más afectados, nosotros el equipo de "Cine Experimental Guanajuato" hemos decidido que las proyecciones públicas que se habían programado previamente en Guanajuato, México, se pospondrán hasta el próximo. año 2021, siempre que las condiciones sanitarias sean más favorables.
Nuestras categorías para participar son:
+ Cortometraje Internacional:
Convocatoria de cortometrajes experimentales, libres en su temática y producción, sin restricciones de año, con una duración no mayor a los 30 min. Exclusiva para realizadores que no residan en México y/o Sudamérica.
+ Cortometraje Mexicano y Latinoamericano:
Convocatoria de cortometrajes experimentales, libres en su temática y producción, sin restricciones de año, con una duración no mayor a los 30 min. Exclusiva para realizadores que residan en Sudamérica y/o México, con excepción de quienes residen en Guanajuato.
+ Cortometraje Guanajuato:
Convocatoria de cortometrajes experimentales, libres en su temática y producción, sin restricciones de año, con una duración no mayor a los 30 min. Exclusiva para realizadores que residen dentro del estado de Guanajuato.
+ Those selected will receive their certificate of participation in the "Experimental Film Guanajuato" and do not participate for any prize or financial compensation.
+ All participants' work will be reviewed by the jury of the "Experimental Film Guanajuato."
+ Each director will have the possibility of accessing an interview and / or review that will be published in the "Retransmisón" blog and in each of its social networks.
+ Each selected movie will have a complete file on our website as well as its review and contact methods. Similarly in our digital edition catalog.
+ The "Experimental Film Guanajuato" has no financial compensation and does not commit to any payment, transfer or per diem of the filmmakers in the places.
+ Any situation not foreseen in this call will be resolved by the committee.
+ Adding to their recognition, each of the selected will become part of the CINEMATOGRAPHIC DIRECTORY OF "RETRANSMISIÓN", with the following benefits:
- Continuous dissemination of their work in broadcast media (Directory, Blog, Social Networks and functions).
- PROMOTIONS with discounts and direct invitation to future international film calls.
- INVITATION LETTER, in case the participant expresses interest in attending the functions, we can issue invitation letters (without travel allowance, lodging or transport) as well as advice on their trip.

+ Los seleccionados recibirán su certificado de participación en el "Experimental Film Guanajuato" y no participan por ningún premio ni remuneración económica.
+ Todos los trabajos de los participantes serán revisados por el jurado calificador del "Experimental Film Guanajuato."
+ Cada realizador tendrá la posibilidad de acceder a una entrevista y/o reseña que será publicada en el blog de "Retransmisión" y en cada una de sus redes sociales.
+ Cada película seleccionada contará con una ficha completa en nuestra página web así como su reseña y medios de contacto. De igual forma en nuestro catálogo de edición digital.
+ El "Experimental Film Guanajuato" no tiene remuneración económica y no se compromete a ningún pago, transferencia o viático de los cineastas en los lugares.
+ Cualquier situación no prevista en la presente convocatoria será resuelta por el comité.
+ Sumando a su reconocimiento, cada uno de los seleccionados pasará a integrar parte del DIRECTORIO CINEMATOGRÁFICO DE "RETRANSMISIÓN", con los siguientes beneficios:
- DIFUSIÓN continua de su trabajo en medios de "Retransmisión" (Directorio, Blog, Redes Sociales y funciones).
- PROMOCIONES con descuentos e invitación directa a futuras convocatorias de cine internacionales.
- CARTA INVITACIÓN, en caso de que el participante exprese interés en asistir a las funciones, podremos emitir cartas invitación (Sin cobertura de viáticos, hospedaje ni transporte) así como asesoramiento en su viaje.
