About the festival

This is Embers Aquatics International Film Festival Inaugural year. We are passionate about the water; swimming, paddling, surfing, rowing, sailing, diving. This new film festival will showcase adventures in and on the water and looking after the water. Inspiring and motivational stories.

The film festival will tour venues word wide starting with a UK tour during 2019 reaching an international audience of min 5000 people.

Love the Water: any films showing people enjoying the water are welcome.

We welcome professional and amateur films. Real stories of people loving and looking after the water. Any films should be in English or with English subtitles.

We are busy securing some great venues and dates including Edinburgh, the Lake District, Singapore, Sydney and Vancouver.

We are a Social Enterprise providing swimming lessons and training in developing countries. Worldwide someone drowns every 80 seconds. Swimming saves lives. All proceeds raised from events funds this vital work reducing drowning rates. Everyone should have the chance to enjoy the water and your films will help us with this.

We are currently working with partners to put together a package of prizes.

Every successful entrant will receive 4 free tickets to a venue of your choice.

A £100 Audience prize will be awarded at each venue.

Overall £1000 cash prize for the overall tour winner of the combined public vote.
