About the festival

Welcome to the Dream Catchers United Film Festival (DCUFF) where we not only chase our dreams, we catch them! Our mission is to inspire a new generation of talented filmmakers and provide a platform for them to achieve their big screen goals.

This two-day festival includes narrative features, documentaries, short films, student films, web originals, and live staged screenplay readings.

The Dream Catchers United Film Festival is an initiative of Nascot Publishing, LLC. NaScot Publishing, LLC was established in 2015 as a platform to continue creating quality projects. NaScot Publishing, LLC’s mission is to help individuals express themselves through writing. With this intent in mind, the motto, “Revealing the Story in You” was birthed.

The sole purpose of the Dream Catchers United Film Festival is to help aspiring filmmakers reveal the stories within them and share them with the world.

The Dream Catchers United Film Festival (DCUFF) will recognize and award films/filmmakers across the following categories: Best Narrative Feature Film, Best Feature Documentary Film, Best Narrative Short Film, Best Web Series, Best Student Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best TV Pilot.

Terms and rules

Select features: narratives, documentaries, short films, student films, web series, and screenplays (Narrative Scripts and TV Pilots) participate in the Festival’s competitive sections. The winners will be chosen by special juries. Winners will be
announced during the Dream Catchers United Awards Show.

1. Film Entrants must submit online through FilmFreeway for consideration.
2. Entry forms and payment will not be processed without accompanying Preview Copies in one of the accepted formats for film applicants.
3. All entries must be in English or - SUBTITLED, DUBBED, unless special arrangements have been made with festival.
4. All films selected for screening at the festival grant Dream Catchers United Film Festival the right to use stills and excerpts of up to two minutes for promotional purposes.
5. Dream Catchers United Film Festival is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged entries.
6. Exceptions to the festival regulations must be authorized by the Festival Directors.
7. Multiple entries are permissible, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate fee.
8. Submissions will not be returned.
9. All entry fees are nonrefundable.
10. Submission to the festival is not a guarantee that your film will be screened.

Films that are 40 minutes or longer, made by filmmakers currently living and working in Florida. At least 75% of this film must have been shot and produced in Florida.

Script must be at least 90 pages, but no more than 120 pages. Selected scripts will have a scene identified by the writer and be read by actors in a Table Read.
