Digital Griffix film festival is an international online and onsite event, a showcase of short films under 30 minutes and full length films. The films are selected each month to be screened from our website for a week or more, starting on January 1st 2021. There will be a new deadline set every month.
Films are screened throughout the year in filmmaking classes at a community college in Montreal, Teccart college or online.
At the end of the year, on December 25th 2021 the winners in each category will be announced. All genres welcomed, films must be submitted in english or subtitled in english. Films in french or subtitled in french can also be submitted.
All films will be screened in a secure way with no download option available.

Please note that some films could be in consideration during the whole year.
Prizes will be sent at the end of 2021 and will be trophies and certificates.

Winners of the Digital Griffix Online Film Festival will receive an InkTip Script Listing to promote themselves and their scripts to InkTip’s entire network of producers, managers, and agents.

Producers have made more than 375 films from scripts and writers found through InkTip.
As a VFX company, we are offering a free VFX 3D modeling package to winning filmmakers, which includes a 3D character (creature) ready for production that you can use in your next film, based on your own design.

Technical Requirements to submit to them:
Video -Film Master: •File specifications: Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ) in .MOV container. -Film Trailer: •File specifications: Apple Pro Res (HQ) in .MOV container.
Note* no artifacts, glitches, compression gradients, color shifting or other imperfections.
Audio -Film Audio: •PCM 48.000 kHz 16-bit Audio.
-Trailer Audio: •PCM 48.000 kHz 16-bit Audio.
*Must be in stereo if originally mixed in stereo.
Photos •High resolutions images and stills for press, marketing & special promotion.
*If available. Closed Captions (CC) • SCC format • English text in EIA 608 format in a Scenarist SCC formatted file, using the .scc file extension • Must be 29.97 FPS regardless of frame rate of the movie file. • Captioning workflows utilizing 23.976 FPS timecodes are acceptable, but the timecodes will be regarded as 29.97fps. • SCC files should preserve the timecode mode (drop frame or non-drop frame) used in your captioning process, not necessarily the mode represented in the Video Master. • All closed captions should be in english.
*FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILMS ONLY | Subtitles in english should be delivered separately (not burned in) in valid .SRT format with correct timing and no misspellings.
Other Considerations
All films must contain at least one frame of black at the beginning and end, but no longer than 1 second. No watermarks, bugs, DVD logos, promotional intros, release dates, websites, color bars, slates, countdowns, advertisements or MPAA ratings. For trailers, files are preferably to be 60 Second long.
