Terms and rules

Requirements:
All films (including Yukon made) must be 30 minutes or less in length.
Films completed after January 1, 2019 are eligible.
Film must not have not been previously submitted to DCISFF.
Films in any language other than English must be subtitled in English.
Industrial films, music videos and public service announcements are not eligible.
Films submitted in the wrong category will be disqualified from entry.
All submissions must be accompanied by the following items:

a completed entry form,
Quicktime file for projection. (Wetransfer, dropbox, etc.) Vimeo Links also accepted.
a short description of the film (50 words)
a 300 DPI jpg from the film (4” x 3”)
submission fee. (No fees for filmmakers from Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut. Contact us for waiver codes)
submissions will not be returned unless accompanied by a self-addressed pre-paid return mailer

Incomplete entries will not be accepted.

Final Deadline: December 23 2019 (postmarked) $25 Fee
Yukon Youth Deadline: February 1, 2020 (Free)

Fees, shipping, and the usual disclaimer:
Entry fees are $15.00[CDN] (before November 18th). Late entry fee is $25.00[Cdn]. There are no entry fees for films from the Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut (please contact us for a fee waiver).

Permissions

By submitting to the Dawson City International Short Film Festival (DCISFF), the filmmaker (or their representative) agrees that:

DCISFF is permitted to use the submitted works and any and all press materials of all selected entries for publicity and promotional purposes;
Contact info for filmmakers and/or distributors may be published in the festival program and website.
DCISFF is permitted to retain the submitted video for inclusion in our non-circulating library (archives);
DCISFF is not responsible for any damage or loss to materials submitted in any way;
The person signing the entry form must be legally authorized to enter this film in the 2020 Dawson City International Short Film Festival. Any copyrighted materials included in the work must have been legally cleared for use.

Dawson City International Short Film Festival is a competitive festival. All entries are reviewed by a selection committee for possible inclusion in the festival.
