TERMINOS Y CONDICIONES GENERALES
(a) Los siguientes términos y condiciones establecen la elegibilidad de la participación de los cortometrajes a “Däntsu Cine Festival 2017”. Entregando un cortometraje se declara que se leyeron y se aceptaron todas las condiciones incluidas en esta convocatoria.
(b) Entregando un cortometraje al Festival para la selección, el remitente declara que el detiene la aprobación de todos los creadores y de las personas físicas y morales habientes derecho sobre la obra, para que pueda concursar y ser estrenada durante el festival.
(c) La dirección del festival se otorga el derecho de rechazar cualquier entrega que no considere idónea y que no respete, aunque solo en partes, las reglas y condiciones del festival sin proveer ningún tipo de reembolso para los gastos de envío e inscripción.
(d) Bajo ninguna circunstancia se aceptarán cortometrajes de parte de, o con la participación de los organizadores de “Däntsu Cine Festival”, sus voluntarios, practicantes o cualquier persona involucrada en la organización del mismo.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(a) The following terms and conditions establish the eligibility of a short film's participation to "Däntsu Cine Festival 2017". By submitting a short film you declare that you've read and accepted all the terms and conditions included in the submission form.
(b) By submitting a short film to the festival's competition, the submitter declares that he holds the approval of all the creators and the physical and moral people having rights over the film, so that it can participate to the contest and be screened throughout the festival.
(c) The festival direction grants itself the right to reject any submission that is not considered adequate and that doesn't respect, even just in parts, the terms and conditions of the film festival with no need to provide any kind of refund for shipping or submission expenses.
(d) Under any circumstance will be accepted short films produced by, or with the participation of any of the organisers of "Däntsu Cine Festival", it's volunteers, interns or any other person involved in its organisation.
REGLAS Y CONDICIONES DE ACCEPTACION
(a) Los cortometrajes no pueden haber sido producidos antes del Primero de Enero del 2015 para poder ser seleccionados por el Festival.
(b) La obra puede haber participado anteriormente en otros festivales nacionales e internacionales, pero no puede haber tenido distribución de algún tipo (Internet, DVD o cine).
(c) Sólo se aceptará un cortometraje por Director.
(d) Los cortometrajes enviados para la selección oficial en competencia no pueden ser retirados por ninguna razón (a menos de que sea decisión de la organización del Festival).
(e) La primera versión del cortometraje enviada será la única tomada en cuenta por la dirección del Festival y en caso de ser seleccionado será esta misma la proyectada en el marco del Festival.
(f) La duración máxima consentida de los cortometrajes es de 30 minutos con créditos incluidos.
(g) No se aceptan documentales, videoclips, animación, trabajos comerciales o con fines de propaganda política, únicamente Ficción Live Action, en todas las expresiones y subgéneros del Horror (slasher, splatter, gore, comedia de horror, suspenso, shock, body horror, teen, posesiones, psicológico, found footage, torture porn, ciencia ficción, survival, monstruos y criaturas, etc…).
(h) No se aceptarán obras incompletas, para poder ser seleccionados los cortometrajes tienen que estar terminados y tener créditos.
RULES AND GUIDELINES
(a) Short Films cannot have been produced before January 1st, 2015 in order to be selected by the Festival.
(b) The film may have participated in previous national and international festivals, but it cannot have had distribution of any kind (Internet, DVD or commercial theatres).
(c) Only one short film per Director will be accepted.
(d) The short films sent to the competition cannot be withdrawn (unless this desicion has been taken by the Direction of the Festival).
(e) The first version of the film will be the only one considered by the Direction of the Festival and if selected will be the one screened at the Festival.
(f) Films cannot be longer than 30 minutes, credits included.
(g) Documentaries, music videos, animation, commercial work or with political propaganda will not be accepted. Only live-action fiction, in any of the Horror's expressions or sub-genres will be allowed to participate (slasher, splatter, gore, horror comedy, suspense, shock, body horror, teen, possessions, psychological, found footage, torture porn, science fiction, survival, monsters and creatures, etc…).
(h) Incomplete works will not be accepted, in order to be selected, short films need to be finished and include credits.
PROCEDIMIENTO Y MODALIDADES DE ENTREGA
(a) Los participantes tienen que subir los cortometrajes a la plataforma filmfreeway.com para poder ser revisados y seleccionados.
(b) En caso de ser seleccionado, el participante debe enviar tres copias de DVD o Blu-ray Disc para las proyecciones, de preferencia en formato NTSC. No se devolverán las copias físicas que tienen que llevar también:
1. Título de la obra
2. Nombre del director y/o de la casa productora
3. Número de teléfono y dirección del director o de la casa productora
4. FilmFreeway tracking number
(c) Las versiones digitales y físicas tienen que estar en el idioma original y con subtítulos en inglés o español.
(d) Los gastos de envío son a cargo del participante, el Festival no aceptará envíos por cobrar.
(e) Los participantes deberán revisar sus DVD’s, si a la dirección del Festival no le es posible visualizar la copia física se tendrá que excluir el cortometraje de la competición.
(f) Es necesario enviar por correo electrónico a entry@dantsu.mx un “press kit” incluyendo los siguientes materiales:
1. Foto fija del trabajo a 300 dpi.
2. Sinopsis de la obra en inglés o español.
3. Breve biografía del director en inglés o español.
4. Fotografía del director a 300 dpi.
5. Ficha técnica con lista de créditos.
6. En caso de participar en la categoría estudiantil deberá enviar credencial
de estudiante vigente, constancia de estudios o de finalización de estudios.
SUBMISSION AND SHIPPING PROCEDURES
(a) Participants must submit the short films through FilmFreeway.com in order to be selected.
(b) In case of selection, the participant must send three copies of the DVD or Blu-ray Disc for projectional purposes, NTSC format preferably. Said copies will not be returned and they have to include:
1. Film's Title
2. Director's name and/or the production company's one
3. Director's or production company adress and phone number
4. FilmFreeway tracking number
(c) Digital and physical copies must be in the original language and with subtitles in english or spanish.
(d) Shipping expenses are to be covered by the participants, the Festival will not accept collect/cash‐on‐delivery shipments.
(e) Participants should revise their DVD's before sending them, if the Festival's Direction will not be able to watch the physical copy of the short film, it will be eliminated from the competition.
(f) It is necessary to send an e-mail to entry@dantsu.mx containing a "press kit" which must include the following:
1. A frame of the work at 300dpi.
2. Work's synopsis in english or spanish.
3. Short biography of the director in english or spanish.
4. A picture of the director at 300dpi.
5. Technical sheet with the credits list.
6. In case of participating to the student category, a copy of the student ID, transcript of records or diploma must be sent as well.
FECHAS DE ENTREGA
La fecha de entrega para la versión digital de los cortometrajes es el 30 de Septiembre 2017 a las 12AM hora de Ciudad de Mexico (GMT+6). Los cortometrajes entregados entre esa fecha y el 31 de Octubre serán aceptados como tardíos y será aplicada una tarifa extra. La versión física tiene que llegar el 15 de Noviembre, de lo contrario no será tomado en cuenta.
DEADLINES
The regular deadline for the digital submissions of the films is September 30th, 2017 12:00 AM Mexico City time (GMT+6). Short Films submitted between that date and October 31st, 2017 will be accepted as late and an extra fee will be charged. The physical copy must arrive before November 15th, 2017, otherwise the project will not be able to participate.
MODALIDADES DE PAGO Y PRECIOS
(a) El costo para la participación al Festival es de 10 USD para las categorías Estudiantil y Queretana. La categoría internacional tiene un costo de participación de 25 USD.
(b) El pago podrá ser realizado con tarjeta de débito o de crédito, a través de la plataforma FilmFreeway.
(c ) El pago también podrá realizarse por transferencia bancaria a la cuenta de TeCine S.C en Banregio al número de cuenta 165-96302-001-4 con clave interbancaria 05868000000164675, el recibo y/o comprobante deberá ser enviado previamente a entry@dantsu.mx para recibir un waiver code a introducir en FilmFreeway.
ENTRY FEES AND PAYMENT METHODS
(a) For the Student and the Queretana categories the entry fee is 10 USD. The International category's entry fee is 25 USD.
(b) The payment can be made with debit or credit card through the FilmFreeway platform.
(c ) The payment of the entry fee can also be made through wire transfer to the bank account: TeCine S.C en Banregio account number: 165-96302-001-4 SWIFT code 05868000000164675, the ticket and/or voucher has to be sent to entry@dantsu.mx in order to get a waiver code for FilmFreeway.
