About the festival

A4 Studios will be hosting a Cult Classics Halloween Scarefest on Thursday 31st October 6pm-11pm. This is a ticketed fundraising event with a limited number of early bird tickets. There will be alternative stalls of jewellery, clothing and crafts; live music, film screenings of horror shorts, spooky games and bar and buffet provided.

We are looking for horror shorts of any type as long as they are no longer than 10 minutes. Ghosts, ghouls, zombies, serial killers, vampires are all welcome. Fiction, comedy, documentary, music video, experimental, art films - we are open to all submissions as long as your film fits within the horror genre in some way. We are looking for the original, the unusual and the quirky. And don't worry about when your film was made, we will consider it no matter how old it is!

About A4 Studios

A4 Studios is a not-for-profit organisation that has been founded by a group of disabled and able-bodied artists and entrepreneurs who recognised a need for good quality affordable studio spaces within the locality of Trafford, UK.

Our aim is to provide affordable spaces for creatives of all abilities, whilst improving accessibility to the arts for the wider community. The gallery and the majority of the studios have full disabled access, providing facilities otherwise unavailable to this demographic.

There will be an audience vote on the night for Best of the Fest. The winner will get Winner's laurels and a unique trophy handmade by steampunk artist John Lockwood.

All selected films will get Official Selection laurels.
