Cornwall Film Festival

Showcasing filmmaking talent, bringing worthy filmmakers to regional and national attention. CFF seeks to represent the most innovative and adventurous developments in filmmaking. It is especially interested in filmmakers whose short films manifest stylistic boldness, strength of form, and the ambition to use the medium in a way that resists cliché.

CORNWALL FILM FESTIVAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
& TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. All submitted films should be no more than 12 months old by November 2020
- if your short was made between 1st July 2019 - 30th January 2020 please enter the correct category
2. Please ensure that the digital video file you're entering is the highest quality copy of your film. All work should be summited through the online platform, no work will be considered if not summited via this platform.
3. CFF regards a short film as 20 minutes or under and a feature film as 20 minutes or over. Feature films will not be considered in the competition.
4. Work does not need to be a UK premieres.
5. Films that have previously been publicly screened, broadcast or otherwise made publicly available (including online) in Britain will be considered. We will accept Short animation films that have had public theatrical screenings.
6. Films that are available to purchase online are not eligible. This includes DVD/Blu-ray/VHS formats.
7. Promotional films are eligible (e.g. films promoting tourism, charitable appeals, see the categories).
8. Cornwall Film Festival does not have the facility to apply refunds waivers must be sought before the films have been submitted.
9. A separate entry form and additional entry fee is required for each film submission.
10. It is advised that your film is in 24 frames per second.
11. If selected you will be given 14 days to supply your work after notification, CFF reserves the right to withdraw work if not supplied on time.
12. We advise you to supply work in DCP (Digital Cinema Package) format

PUBLICITY

1. By summiting work, you are giving permission to the Cornwall Film Festival to the reproduction of stills and clips of selected films, for all Cornwall Film Festival publications, trailers, press and TV coverage, and social media channels, and in long-form in a compilation of Festival work that will tour regionally.
2. Cornwall Film Festival agrees to promote filmmakers by listing and advertising the work with the information supplied correctly.

SUBMISSION AGREEMENT

1. The final selection of all films presented at the festival and their placement in the program is the responsibility of the Programmer Manager for the Cornwall Film Festival, the process is overseen by the festival’s Director. The organisation of the event and programming of all other non-competitive elements is the responsibility of the Director and the festival team.

2. Within your submission, you will be asked if you have read and agreed with the Terms and Conditions laid out in this document. The entry of a film is binding and implies the acceptance of these regulations.

3. In the event of disagreement concerning the interpretation of the regulations, the interpretation of the festival will take precedence.

4. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in the submission being disqualified.

5. These regulations are subject to change without prior notice.
