About the festival

CORE International Film Festival is a home for ALL video content. Whether you make short films, music videos, comedy sketches, travel vlogs, documentaries or experimental narratives, and even screenplays: we love them all! We love a variety of different content. The more different, the more interesting! We're here to bring your amazing content to the next level.

The CORE Finalists get to premiere on the red carpet in Boston, Massachusetts, for our annual International Film Festival. With that, all of our finalists get their place in the official CORE Catalog, are invited to be a part of the private CORE Filmmaking Network, and of course, all of our finalists are automatically in the running for our AWARDS AND PRIZES!

With all that, we've also partnered up with SMG Media, which will allow all of our finalist short films to be eligible for a distribution deal. In short, this partnership is designed to help filmmakers earn revenue through short film distribution with Shami Media Group, if they're interested.

Our main goal is to shed light onto creations that deserve it, and to form connections between cool creators in the film world. We want independent filmmakers to get some of the recognition that they deserve, and become a part of our greater film network.

Whether a finalist or not, all officially selected filmmakers will be invited to join us at the CORE International Film Festival for our formal networking mixer followed by the official premiere and awards ceremony.

The CORE International Film Festival selections will be judged and decided on by award-winning independent filmmakers working in the industry. With that, the screening will have industry guest speakers in attendance to present awards to our filmmakers.
So whether you're a finalist or not, the festival will be a blast all around!
