The Central Michigan International Film Festival is designed to broaden the range of films available for public screenings in mid-Michigan and on the Central Michigan University campus. Independent, foreign, and documentary films are the focus of the festival. Local filmmakers are also highlighted. Both shorts and feature length films are exhibited.
We are excited to announce that due to sponsorship from the Michigan Film and Digital Media Office, we are now offering prizes in the following categories:
Best of Festival:
CMIFF Audience Award for Favorite Independent Feature Film = $200
CMIFF Jury Award for Favorite Michigan Made Feature: $150
CMIFF Jury Award for Favorite Michigan Made Short: $100
CMIFF Jury Award for Favorite First Film/Student Film = $100
CMIFF Audience Award for Best Documentary = $100
CMIFF Audience Award for Best Short Film = $100
Additional Audience awards will be awarded based on popular vote (including best Foreign Feature and Short Films), but will not have prize money attached to them.
